Rocket Yoga Introduction 2 Part Series

This is a 2-Part Series - Both are recommended, but you can always just sign up for one!

- Saturday May 26th 11:30-2:30pm Rocket 1

- Saturday June 2nd 11:30-2:30pm Rocket 2

What is Rocket?

The rocket routines are revisions of the Traditional Ashtanga series that remove the hierarchy of postures and gives the student inspiration into their own creative process, their body's limitations and strengths, while still honoring the core values and teachings of this ancient practice.

What does that all mean?

The Rocket resequences 1st and 2nd series Traditional Ashtanga into variations more accessible for western audiences while fostering a playful, upbeat and dynamic atmosphere where we play music and emphasize handstands, floats, arm-balances, and change the sequence from time to time. Each pose and transition can be modified, refined and strengthened - the sequences are accessible to all.

Workshop and Practice.

Learn and develop the fundamentals that define and build proficiency in both Rocket 1 and Rocket 2, and then practice each sequence. We will emphasize the transitions, flows, floats, handstands and armbalances of Rocket that make the sequences so unique and vibrant. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an advanced pracitioner, there will be something for everyone.

Rocket 1 is a modification of the Traditional Primary Series, emphasizing forward folds.

Rocket 2 is a modification of the Traditional Second Series, emphasizing backbends. Rocket 2 also includes postures from the Advanced Series of Ashtanga.

Bring your mat, a notebook, and a playful attitude. This will be fun.

About Bobby Harding:

Bobby loves yoga. In particular, Bobby loves the traditional and progressive varieties of Ashtanga Vinyasa. Bobby Loves the way the continued pursuit of the practice and its challenges facilitates the refinement, strengthening and opening of the individual as we each are invited to confront ourselves on our mats. He loves to share the practices and to make sure all who are drawn to them are able to find enjoyment.
