Ayurveda(the study of life) is the holistic system of healthcare that developed in India alongside yoga, upwards of 5,000 years ago.
For yoga practitioners and teachers, Ayurveda can be a beautiful complement to your practice. Ayurveda invites us to take the same self-awareness of body, mind, and spirit we cultivate on the yoga mat and bring it into the rest of our lives. Sometimes called “the people’s medicine”, Ayurveda offers a toolkit of daily and seasonal health habits for self care.
Many yogis and yoginis find that when they discover Ayurveda, it rounds out their life, giving them an empowering framework for balanced health of body, mind, and spirit that supports ease and longevity on their yogic path. Ayurveda provides the opportunity to experience a truly holistic, conscious life.
In this workshop you will learn about:
-The basic principles of Ayurveda, including the different Ayurvedic body-mind types.
-How Ayurveda views our relationship to nature and why that’s so important for optimal health.
-Simple and natural daily habits that lead to improved sleep, digestion, and immune function.
-Seasonal tips for maintaining balanced health throughout the year.

Abbie leads dynamic groups and offers 1:1 coaching for women who want to cultivate health habits for lifelong wellness. She first learned about Ayurveda during her yoga teacher training in 2010 and began to study and practice the lifestyle habits of Ayurveda more fully in 2013 with the guidance of her mentor, Cate Stillman.
After experiencing so many positive benefits for her own self healing and self discovery through Ayurveda, Abbie felt inspired and called to share with others. With the ups and downs of life, and especially through motherhood over the past eight years, Ayurveda has taught Abbie how to deeply nurture herself and awaken to a thriving life of compassion, resilience, and heart’s purpose.
She recently became certified as a Yoga Health Coach through Yogahealer International. She founded Abbie Silvers Wellness in January 2021 and is so grateful for the opportunity to guide and support people on their holistic wellness journeys.
