30 Day Online Handstand Challenge

It’s been a while but we are BACK with our next 30 day handstand challenge!! This challenge is free and available to anyone who wants to join in! Here are some details

Dates: April 1st-30th

Where to share you practice: Either through our Facebook group: Practice with Elevate -OR- you can post to your instagram story or page. Just be sure to tag @elevatecommunityyoga if you’re posting on Instagram so we can repost for you (if you’d like). Be sure to follow us on both platforms.

What should your posts look like?: You can post whatever variations of handstands you’d like and as many attempts as you’d like each day! They don’t have to be any specific length of time. Just show up and give it your best. This is all about building consistency in your practice. If you want to post your entire practice, go for it! If you only want to share a part of it, that’s okay too. Remember, this isn’t about doing your handstand “perfectly”. Do what you can, and it’s always enough.

Suggestions:

  • Spend time warming up the core, wrists, shoulders, hamstrings and hips. It doesn’t have to take too long - just enough to get the body prepared. This part makes all the difference in your practice. Your body will be more awakened and ready for handstands if you do the prep work. (maybe 5-10 minutes)

  • Rest if you need to. If you miss a day here and there, it’s okay! If you can, let your practice be stretching or prep work if your body doesn’t want to go into handstand. Modifications are okay!

  • Take Kaycie’s Handstand Workshop with ways to prep, modify and build understanding of alignment and different variations of handstands if you can. It is designed to help with this challenge, but is not a requirement. If you feel comfortable without it, that’s great too! If you’d like to sign up for this workshop, CLICK HERE.

The Reward: You being able to improve your handstands with the community at your convenience! It is always nice to have a little added support and inspiration to help ourselves grow!

All you have to do is start practicing and sharing your practice from April 1st-30th. Happy inverting!
